A good landlord. A great brother. The most reliable guy I know. Jacob would do anything for our family and not hesitate a bit. Growing up, Jacob and I had your typical brother fights but no matter what, I was his younger brother and he would do anything to protect me. The last few years Jacob and I have become extremely close. We talk about everything from hunting to sports to relationships. Jacob has always been there to support me and I wouldn't consider anyone else as my best man.
A one of a kind brother. He’s there when you need him and will do anything for you. I really enjoyed growing up with Josh. He always had a smile on his face and was up for anything. Josh is extremely laid back and is, essentially, a "good ole boy." As an older brother, I am proud to see how mature Josh has become and I’m excited for him as he continues to grow and experience life. I will always look at Josh as my little brother and I always will.
Ryan is the guy that everyone wants to hang around. He is the most laid back friend I have. Looking for a good conversation? Talk to Ryan, or, just ask him to play guitar and he will blow you away with his talent. When Ryan moved to Florida for school, saying goodbye to him brought out our true friendship. Knowing we wouldn't see Ryan for 2 years was very hard for our group of friends. I will always be close with Ryan for many reasons, one of which is our love/hate relationships for the Lions.
Marco is the only friend of mine that I instantly did not like when I first met him. We were standing in the middle of a football field in 8th grade being interviewed for our MVP status (no big deal). Throughout high school Marco and I formed a friendship like none other. We think things are funny that no one else laughs at. We will not see one another for months and can start right where we left off. No matter where we are living, Marco and I will be as close as we were in highschool.
Brad is a great friend, my personal golf coach, and the guy everyone wants to hang out with. Over the past couple of years, when I was not hanging out with Anna, I was most likely hanging out with Brad. He’s been there for the serious talks, the laughs and even the relationship advice. He actually insisted on going with me to scout out my proposal to Anna. He has been a best friend for 13 years and we only become closer. I could not imagine not having Brad around.
I met Andrew the night I met Anna actually. As much as Anna caught my eye, I spent most of the night talking sports and becoming friends with Mock. Andrew is a very quality guy. He’s always there to hang out or lend a hand whenever. We have grown much closer over the last few years whether it be talking Notre Dame Football or discussing how prompt our wives are… I’m looking forward to our future friendship on the lakes, taking trips, or just froggin it.
The most loyal guy I know. Ian will do anything for his friends and not ask a single question before doing it. I could not imagine not having Ian as a friend. He’s always the guy who will call you to simply ask how things are going. He will help at the drop of a hat to make sure his friends are taken care of. We are both very competitive with each other through all sports from football to ping pong. One of these days I may slip up and let Ian take the win…
If there is a large amount of people laughing, Willie is generally in the middle of it. Andrew can make anyone laugh at any given time. An all-around great guy. Andrew is extremely driven in his career but will always make time to give me a call just to see how things are going. And if I needed anything at all, I know Andrew would be there without hesitation. I love a good round of golf or a day at the pool with Andrew.
We met at pre-school orientation. From that day until now, I have been jealous of his Michael Jordan shoe collection. Ever since preschool Edwin and I have experienced it all together. Edwin has been there for me through the entire journey. I can always count on Edwin for anything from a serious conversation to a witty joke. We have had some great times and I am looking forward to our future friendship and planning trips with him and his amazing wife, Natalie.
Nine groomsmen to go with the 9 bridesmaids. People ask Anna if I had to "scrape" up friends to match her large bridal party. "No scraping involved" is my honest response. We actually both had trouble cutting it off after choosing the 9. Anna and I value our friendships and our families and wanted all of them to share in our day. One of the questions we asked ourselves when selecting the bridal party was, "Is he/she someone we BOTH can call a friend?" The answer was a resounding yes for every one of them. Read on to meet the groomsmen and find out why.
